Niseko in Winter

Ski for everyone on some of the world's best powder snow.

About Niseko
Niseko on the island of Hokkaido is one of the best known areas in the world among powder fanatics. Each season sees about 15 meters of fresh powder, and a snow depth of five meters is not unusual. In short, the place is famous for having some of the best powders in the world - more than twice as much falls here as in the Alps!

Ski morning, noon and night – relax with hot springs and delicious food in the evening
There are four different ski areas, all starting at the top of the Niseko Annupuri mountain: Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu and Hanazono. With 48km terrain, 38 lifts and over 50 courses, there is something for everyone - long and well-kept idyllic routes, magnificent forests, terrain with great variations, night-skiing with artificial light and exciting off-piste tours with guide (booked on-site). If you have a Niseko United Lift Pass, you have unlimited access to all ski areas. You can either ski-in ski-out directly at the hotel or take the bus for free to the nearest ski lift. It is worth trying different areas - you can’t move around at the top of the mountain, but you can take the bus to different slopes and try a new area from there. Everything is super organized and although the weekends and high seasons are busy, there are generally fewer people than the Alps. In the evening, enjoy a bath in hot springs either at the hotel or in the surrounding area, followed by a delicious meal. Niseko's nearest town, Hirafu, is said to have Japan's best after-ski with restaurants, bars and nightlife. There is good service in English, and if you have a United Lift Pass, you can get there by bus for free.

Other attractions in Niseko
If you want to try out other ski areas in Japan, both Kiroro and Rusutsu are not far from Niseko. You can take the local bus or hop on an organized trip from Hirafu. Mount Yotei is the local mini-Mount Fuji and with expert experience, you can climb the mountain.

Ski facilities:
63 slopes (19 beginners, 25 mediums and 19 advanced)
38 lifts (35 seats and 3 cabs)
Longest piste: 5,400m. Highest point: 1,308m. Vertical drop: 900m.
