My personal journey with Japan began when I joined Japanspecialist. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to experience as a business traveller and personally with my family.

When I talk about my favourite places, my mind takes me back to those wild, untouched areas, with expanses of rolling countryside and rich hidden treasures still begging to be discovered by today's modern explorer.

I embrace all types of travel, from nomad backpacking to luxury retreats, and I'm happiest when discovering new experiences far from home.

As a passionate hobby runner and road cyclist, I love being close to nature. I find this always brings inner calm along with deep gratitude for the natural beauty surrounding us. Yet, I also appreciate the indulgence of luxury kaiseki dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants.

The true magnificence of Japan is that it offers something for everyone, even if your tastes are as varied as mine!
