Luca Bastianini

My love for Japan began in high school, through manga and anime, and gradually became a path of study, work and life. Thanks to my specialist background and my first-hand experiences in Japan, I aim to offer a deep, accurate and accessible understanding of Japanese culture.

I have been part of the JTB and Japanspecialist family for over 20 years. Within the company, I also work as a travel designer, which gives me a strong understanding of travel logistics and allows me to anticipate needs or potential issues before they arise.

On my tours, I do not simply accompany the group: I build a real connection with people. For me, empathy is essential. I am always happy to be present, offer advice and support travellers even during their free time, creating an atmosphere of trust, ease and collaboration.

I love guiding people towards the most authentic soul of Japan, from street food to the tea ceremony, as well as the more hidden and fascinating aspects of a culture so different from our own. My goal is to create an intimate, safe and unforgettable experience.
