Greet your National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter at Nakatsugawa Station. Board a route bus for a journey to Tsumago and Magome. Seats are non-reserved.
Stroll through Magome's stone-paved streets, lined with historic houses, waterwheels, and monuments. Experience the richness of Japan's history as you explore this well-preserved post town. The tour will then move to the Nakasendo Trail starting point which is 3.3 kilometres walk. You´ll be surrounded by the scenic beauty of valleys and rural landscapes and your guide will make sure you enjoy the historical ambiance without the worry of getting lost.
Explore Tsumago, Japan's first preserved post town. Visit the Nagisomachi Museum (Waki Honjin Okuya), the main inn where feudal lords and high-status individuals once stayed. After sightseeing, take a taxi to JR Nagiso Station.
