When I moved away from my hometown of Hammerfest in Northern Norway, I had no idea that I would spend some of the greatest years of my life in Japan as a student living with a 70-year-old Japanese married couple and our dog “Chokolat” in Osaka. They spoke ZERO English, so I had no choice but to immerse myself in the language and the culture of a Japanese household.

Since then, I have had an unbreakable bond with Japan, it feels like my second home on this planet, which is a feeling I have never had anywhere else I have travelled. I want to use my knowledge of Japan to help you experience the feeling of belonging that is possible there. I want to learn about you and what makes you tick, your ikigai (reason for being), so that I can incorporate that thing or activity into your itinerary.

Just experiencing Japan in and of itself is wonderful, but experiencing how your favourite hobby or interest is practiced in Japan, is magic.

Japan is simply put the ultimate destination: it has everything you could dream of! White sandy beaches? Okinawa. Powder-snow-covered mountains? Hakuba or Niseko. Highlands? The Hida Region. Evergreen forests? Basically everywhere, but especially Yakushima. Volcanos? 111 of them!
