It´s time for a journey through tea at the Flower Teahouse in East Kyoto. Immerse yourself in the art of matcha in a traditional machiya, surrounded by the historic charm of Ninenzaka. Your 45-minute shared tea ceremony includes seasonal sweets, expert guidance in tea making, and a glimpse into the cultural richness of tea. After the ceremony, explore the beauty of Ninenzaka, a short walk from iconic temples and the enchanting geisha district of Gion. You can elevate your experience by opting for a traditional kimono rental, adding a touch of authenticity to your journey.

As you step into the Flower Teahouse, a world of tranquillity awaits. Fifteen minutes prior to your chosen time slot, our expert instructor welcomes you to the Flower Teahouse. This immersive experience begins with a warm introduction, providing insights into the rich history and cultural significance of the traditional tea ceremony.

Enter the serene atmosphere of the Flower Teahouse, located in the heart of Ninenzaka. You will be served a small traditional sweet, setting the tone for the shared tea ceremony. Engage in a hands-on experience, guided by our expert instructor, as you go through all the steps of the tea ceremony. This 45-minute session allows for questions, photos, and a deeper connection with the art of tea.

Choose from flexible time slots throughout the day, with sessions available every day of the year.
