Márton Szilágyi

As a child, I had the opportunity to experience what it’s like to spend an extended period abroad. Perhaps, this is where my passion for travel and other cultures – a passion that has remained with me ever since – first took root.

I graduated with a degree in Arabic in 2002, and my first career step led me to a travel agency. After qualifying as a tour guide, I began working locally, and before long, I was accompanying groups to various destinations.

My travels have taken me to many countries across Asia, North Africa, and Western Europe, as well as to North America. I feel a special affinity for Asian cultures, and I am always eager to further expand my knowledge and experience of the region. I also take great pleasure in leading group tours for Japanspecialist – most notably in South Korea – where I love sharing my enthusiasm for the local culture and traditions with fellow travellers.

For me, travel is not only a profession, but also a personal passion: in my free time, I enjoy discovering new places both in Hungary and abroad. I am particularly fond of hiking, swimming, cycling and skiing. Whenever I have the chance, I also visit exhibitions and museums, although I am equally happy at home with a good book or movie.
