What fascinates me about Japan is the diversity of the country. From hiking along historic pilgrimage routes to ancient temples and villages to taking the Shinkansen to the modern metropolises, you can literally travel through time.

About me

I discovered my enthusiasm for Japan and its culture while learning Japanese. Eventually, I studied Japanese studies and lived in Tokyo for a year. There is a lot to discover in the different districts of the capital. I also enjoyed travelling in the surrounding area to Nikko, Kamakura and the Izu Peninsula.

On my regular trips to Japan, I have visited most of the 47 prefectures so far. I enjoy travelling away from the big cities in the Tohoku region, the Japanese Alps and the Kii Peninsula. I like taking regional trains to explore rural locations. There, I enjoy the diverse landscape, ryokan accommodation with onsen and the regional cuisine. Furthermore, I visit shrines, temples and gardens. In Japan, it is also special to experience the changes in the country throughout the distinct seasons.

When I am in Japan, I am always impressed by the attention that Japanese people pay to the little things in everyday life and to the people around them. As a traveller, you always feel well looked after. In Japan, you can focus on enjoying the many new discoveries while traveling.

I look forward to helping you plan and book your individual journey to Japan.
