The world’s best ski experience in Niseko.

Niseko, located on the northern island of Hokkaido (90 kilometres southwest of Sapporo), is considered one of the world's very best ski resorts, and with good reason. Some of the best powder snow in the world falls here. The total amount of snowfall is more than twice that of the Alps.

Skiing facilities and getting to/from the slopes are incredibly well organized, and the resort is home to many stylish leisure establishments like restaurants and the like. In the evening, you can then enjoy the most amazing after-ski relaxation, the Japanese way: in an onsen (hot spring) bath with water from natural sources and a delicious gourmet dinner with hot sake and sushi.

Have an experience that few other European ski travellers ever had - visit Japan's undiscovered snow paradise!

Day 1

You'll take an overnight flight from Europe to Tokyo, rest up and get ready for the adventure that awaits!

Day 2

You'll arrive in Tokyo in the morning and then fly on to Sapporo New Chitose Airport. After you arrive in Hokkaido, you'll take a transfer bus directly to Niseko and arrive at your hotel early in the evening. Relax with a delicious meal and a hot spa after the long trip. Our Deluxe and Superior hotels have their own spa, restaurant and bar.

Day 3

Spend your first full day in Niseko exploring this small village and prepare your ski equipment rental. Niseko consists of four different ski areas, all starting at the top of Niseko Annupuri mountain: Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu and Hanazono.

With 48 kilometres of terrain, 38 lifts and over 50 courses, there is something for everyone here - long and well-kept idyllic routes, magnificent forests, terrains variety, night skiing with artificial light and the opportunity for exciting off-piste tours with a guide.

Day 4

Ski during the day and in the evening enjoy one of the after-ski bars or relax in the many onsen (hot springs) in the area.

Day 5

Today head off and explore a different area during your visit. Your Niseko United Lift Pass gives you unlimited access to all ski areas.

Day 6

You can also use the bus to visit the nearest town, Hirafu, which is said to have Japan's best after-ski activities. Here is a large selection of restaurants, bars and vibrant nightlife.

Day 7

We'd suggest visiting the Annupuri resort area today. The ski trails are not quite as steep or as wide as those of the other two resorts, but they also tend to be somewhat less crowded. At Annupuri's base stands a resort hotel and a small collection of guest houses and holiday homes.

Day 8

This is another day open for a full day of skiing or relaxing and enjoying the different onsen in the area.

Day 9

After breakfast and check-out, you'll transfer by bus to Sapporo New Chitose Airport (approximately two and a half hours). Here you can drop off your luggage at the hotel at the airport, and then the rest of the day is free to spend however you wish.

We recommend that you spend the day in the exciting city of Sapporo. The JR Rapid Airport or JR Chitose Line trains run several times an hour and take 40-50 minutes. While there, try some of the local delicacies like Sapporo miso ramen, Sapporo classic curry soup and finally Jingisukan - lamb with vegetables that you grill at the table, all best enjoyed with a glass of Sapporo beer.

If you wish, you can extend the tour with a three day trip to Tokyo.

You fly on to Tokyo Day 09 and then have three nights exploring the beating heart of Japan's capital. You'll then return on day 12 to Europe. The extension includes a transfer between airport and hotel and accommodation at a central hotel (without breakfast).

For example, on this first day, you could visit the bustling areas of Shibuya and Shinjuku, where you can visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for incredible panoramic city views. Be sure to also visit Harajuku, the centre of Japan's youth culture and nearby Yoyogi Park and Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Enrich this day with our suggested add-ons:

On your last full day, we suggest you visit one of the city's iconic fish markets, Tsukiji or the new Toyosu location.

Also, visit the Imperial Palace, the trendy Ginza district, futuristic Odaiba, or explore 'electric town,' Akihabara.

For your last dinner in Tokyo, we suggest you try shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot) with plenty of vegetables and succulent meat. It's a simple but delicious dish.

Day 10

It's time to say "sayonara" (goodbye) to Japan and fly from Sapporo to Tokyo and back to Europe.
